Philanthropy & Penrose

If you know me, you have probably heard me talk about my volunteer work with our local Ronald McDonald House. My love for this charity was planted while in college when I joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and has since continued to blossom into a passion of mine.  I am Co-Chair and a committee member for two annual fundraising events at the house, and also love to participate in other ways when I can in my free time, like being a cookie crew member, dropping off donations from the house wish list, sewing guest blankets, or leading craft nights.  I have a very philanthropic heart and I love seeing the good that this cause brings to our community.

Also, did you know that through the app CharityMiles you can donate to a charity just by working out?!  If you run, walk, or bike for exercise you use this app to select a charity and then the app's sponsors will donate anywhere from 10-25 cents per mile to your chosen charity! If you're going to work out anyway, you might as well help a great cause while you do it! I am spreading the word to everyone I know about this app because I think it is incredible and I encourage you to find a cause that you support and sign up! You can chose the same charity each time or select different ones each time you workout. You can even donate to GoFundMe pages.
